Expert Analysis
Mark Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Kyle is a fun athlete to watch carry the ball. He creates a lot of his yards after contact. That is because of the balance he is able to maintain while absorbing and delivering hits and tackle attempts. Kyle has a low center of gravity that helps him keep his legs churning when he lowers his shoulder and also keeps him from getting knocked off center while running through arm tackles. Kyle has also shown that he can recover when he is pushed or hit into an awkward angle. All of that is needed while building out our Perfect RB, and that is why we want Kyle as a part of this.

Not much to say that we haven’t already over the years when it comes to the workhorse back out of Aquinas. Kyle is a combat, strong runner with a low center of gravity that was key to Aquinas being able to stay balanced on offense. White had to create yards after contact as the battles in the trenches were very even. Between the physical running and his vision and patience the senior was able to find the endzone twice in a game where every single point was needed. UWL has a good one on the way.

Kyle is one of the more reliable workhorse backs in this class. He carried 215 times on the way to Aquinas’ third straight State Championship. The 5’10” 190 lbs junior wins with contact balance and instincts. Kyle is a natural with the ball in his hands. He is patient, is quick to identify running seams, and can set up blocks. White flashes the make you miss ability when he is one on one with an LB in the hole. He also is someone who will finish every run by falling forward if he isn’t able to run through the tackle attempt with his rugged and tough running style. I’m excited to see some testing numbers from him this summer. If he can show more long speed then we will see him make a leap in the rankings, and the film will be even more impressive this fall. Keep a close eye on the Aquinas lead back.

. The 5’10” 195 lbs RB looked like a bowling ball on many carries. His low center of gravity gave us highlight worthy plays as he plowed his way through contact and the front seven scrum. White piled up the yards after contact as he set the tone with ever carry. Watching through the highlights from the game, it is clear to see the patience and vision Kyle has behind the line. Kyle is a name to know going into 2024. Check out the tape!

2022 Stats: 78 Carries, 495 Yards, 7 TDsrnWith the graduation of 1,100+ rushing yards, Kyle should be in position to breakout this fall and really bump up his production. In 2022, White proved to have an intriguing balance of elusiveness and power. He made defenders miss in space, and also ran through arm tackles and lowered shoulders. He also adds a receiving threat, primarily in the screen game. Kyle has good instincts for the position between how he sets up defenders, finds cutbacks, and plays without hesitation.
