Despite not finishing the season as they had hoped, Ogallala returns a good group of players from last year’s squad, including what should be one of the better 1-2 RB duos. The younger half of the duo is junior Kolby Kowak, who is a taller, bigger RB at 6’1″ and 195 pounds. He finished his sophomore campaign with 128 carries, 597 yards, and a rushing touchdown. One of my biggest takeaways from Kolby’s tape was his insane contact balance and strength to power through tackle attempts. He’s a very tough runner who can take the ball north and south with the ability to bounce runs to the outside or cut back when he finds a crease. Nowak also tallied 48 tackles and two TFLs on defense. With Kolby’s frame and athleticism, I could also see him playing linebacker at the next level.
