Pooley popped up on the radar just after our February rankings update, and since then, he’s been a mainstay in our coverage. He’s on the thinner side, but will likely add weight this offseason, and has the frame to play much bigger than he did as a freshman. Pooley spent most of his time on the JV squad, but he’s a high-impact edge rusher who can get after the quarterback and could play consistent snaps on varsity this fall.

Seaforth isn’t typically the defensive lineman capital of the state, but Pooley looks every bit like a potential Division I prospect. The freshman has great length off the edge, and several of his tackles for loss came on the other side of the formation, as he’s relentless in pursuit. He’s a budding pass-rusher, and honestly, we don’t know a ton about him, so we’re excited to scout him further over the next few seasons.
