He is a well-rounded running back with good speed, power, and elusiveness. Barker shows very good post-snap vision, allowing him to read defensive fronts and first-level defenders effectively. This ability enables him to quickly identify and attack the hole with a good burst of speed.
He exhibits good patience behind the line of scrimmage, skillfully following his blockers. Once he makes his cut, he demonstrates multi-cut ability and has very good acceleration to break away from defenders at the first and second levels. Additionally, Barker possesses good change-of-direction skills and vision, enabling him to quickly locate cutback lanes and advance upfield.
His balance is elite, allowing him to absorb contact while maintaining active footwork. Barker also has strong upper and lower body strength, which helps him consistently break tackles.
