is an electric athlete who is a dual-threat quarterback this season. Needed a big play to beat a good Washington team late in the game, Jones threw a perfect deep ball to talented receiver

. It was the game-deciding play. He also ran the ball well on the night for Seton LaSalle. They advanced to the 2A WPIAL Championship, and Jones was one of the reasons why.

Kia Jones Kia Jones ATH Sto-Rox | 2027 PA is a kid you want in your DB room. Patience is one of the traits from corners I feel is glossed over by the general public, but it really flashed while watching Jones freshman tape. Jones, plays a step or a half behind not because he got beat on a route or because he doesn’t have the speed, but because he’s long enough and athletic enough to break up a pass, almost like he’s baiting the QB into throwing his way. Jones is long, standing at 6’1″ 170, he’s able to get his arms in the way of the receiver and the ball more often than not. However, his best trait in my opinion is his run defense, Jones prides himself on physicality when meeting the bal carrier and it shows a ton on film. Jones is someone to keep note of as his goes into his Sophomore season.

6’1, 170 pounds. 3.2 GPA. Currently ranked as a top-three defensive back, 18th-highest overall prospect in PA. Holds a September 2024 offer from Boston College.
Tape begins with Jones covering a two-man concept as the inside defender, recovering and recording a PBU after letting a wideout break leverage. A rep that shows Jones has a ways to go in terms of technique, yet is athletic enough to overcome mistakes. A legitimate safety prospect who goes on to prove the previous sentence true, as he’s a real weapon when used on offense. A good amount of Jones Jr.’s freshman tape show off the playmaker he can be via direct snaps behind center. An explosive weapon Seton LaSalle can get creative with, I’m excited to see how Jones can expand his game as a future sophomore.

Really impressive athlete no matter what position he’s lined up at–but his size and ball skills lend him to be either a physical WR or a menace as a S. My gut says defense.
