His ability to cut/accelerate on a dime is what makes him so impressive, and he already has a great frame for the position as well. He also runs with a good amount of power, consistently running through arm tackles near the line of scrimmage.

Carruthers has shown the ability to be effective both outside and running between the tackles, and he should be in line for a big year as a sophomore as the full-time starter at RB for CHS.

As I evaluate his film from the past season he contributed all over the field, He lined up on defense, special teams as a kick returner, Slot and played his primary role as a running back. Carruthers has breakaway speed running a 4.49 forty time and pair that with his elusiveness and sense of awareness on the field makes him threat to anyone going up against him. He has very good vision and is a very talented prospect representing Chancellor. Carruthers ability to make the first man miss is undeniable and is not even questionable that he has the traits and skillset to be on the best running backs in his class 2029 and I am sure that next season he will make a splash and have an amazing season, Carruthers has a high motor that is unmatched and a true team player.

Carruthers looks like he has game breaking speed already for Chancellor High School. Love that when he hits the hole it always takes a couple of defenders to bring him down, he rarely ever goes down on first contact. Good vision and strength, Carruthers could have a monster sophomore season if used properly. Catches the ball out of the backfield well too, this young man is going to be a star soon.
