Kharon impressed me last night. As you can see from his current ranking, he’s currently listed as a D3 prospect. Although zero GLIAC schools offered him this offseason, they might want to consider his in-season performances.
What I saw was a physical two-way player who gets off the ball quickly, wins with speed, can block on offense, and has the stamina to go four quarters. Kharon was a big reason why UofD couldn’t get anything going on offense, and he definitely deserves another look from colleges.

We’ve been talking about Kharon for awhile now here at Prep Redzone, and I will continue to do so! This is a high motor kid with exceptional speed, bend and discipline. He has a powerful punch to knock offensive linemen off balance and can use a variety of moves to get into the backfield. He’s still looking for the right fit at the next level for him, and I think whoever ends up with Kharon is going to be thrilled with the player they are getting!

Kharon is one of the more athletic defensive linemen that you’ll ever see. Usually, when I watch a 6’0″ 190 D-Lineman, I come away unimpressed. Not Kharon. Playing on-ball lineman and as an outside backer, Kharon fires off the ball incredibly quickly and has the motor + physicality to make plays in the backfield. On paper, Kharon is an undersized player that I wouldn’t expect to be a standout player. In reality, Kharon is a very physical football player who seems to play with a ton of heart. That effort and heart has even earned him offers from Davenport, Adrian, and Sienna heights. He’s currently ranked #249, and I’m looking forward to seeing him play next season.

This kid really stuck out to me last year over the summer, and he is looking more and more natural of a pass rusher as he goes. His reactions seem more natural, and he absolutely has the athleticism to be a playmaker. His film shows blocked punts, big TFLs where he beats the slower lineman right off the ball, and making sure tackles. Turnley has a good trajectory as long as he continues to work.

I got to watch Kharon work recently, and came away extremely impressed. He may be underrated right now, but I think that will change very soon as he has all the athletic ability to shoot up the charts. He won’t blow you away with size yet, but the way he fires off the ball and can use his speed to get by offensive lineman is elite. The more he fills out his frame, along with working on his craft, the higher this guy will be very soon. I can’t wait to watch him this season, as I think he will really break out.

Turnley will turn your head right from warmups. He’s an all around athlete, and built solid. He especially excelled on 1V1 drills in the trenches, where he was firing off the ball faster than anyone, and used a plethora of moves to get by offensive linemen. In the passing drills, he stayed home, stayed in position and made plays when they came to him. I think Turnley was most comfortable firing off the ball and shooting into the backfield, but he’s versatile enough to do it all.
