St James Academy had the best squad in both the 7v7 action and linemen challenge, with Kelvin Taylor Kelvin Taylor 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR St. James Academy | 2027 State VA looking like the best receiver on site. Taylor is high rising prospect heading into his final year of high school ball. Last year for the Strivers he caught 6 touchdowns which considering the room he was in should stand out enough. He is 6’3 with wheels and looks like a hybrid tight end at the FBS level. He blocks his tail off and is a route technician, I would anticipate more offers coming for the soon be senior, he has earned every one of them.

Kelvin is a prospect I think is being under rated and will have a strong summer camp season. I got to see him live earlier this year against Good Counsel and he came up huge for Riverdale in their win that day.

At 6’3″ he is a tall, long WR that can stretch the field vertically. He’s got a big stride that eats up yardage and allows him to get over top of the defense quickly. Kelvin displays soft hands and some fluid hips. Able to go and get the ball out of the air and get decent YAC. A physical player as well, he is more than willing blocker as a WR helping out in the run game. Riverdale Baptist had a loaded receiving corps last year so Kelvin had to share the rock but he made plays when the ball came his way. If he can develop more as a WR, I can Kelvin him having a strong senior campaign and with size being an intriguing recruit to colleges.
