Previously listed on our site at 6’3, 170 pounds, he now self lists at 6’5, 190 pounds. He is a legitimate basketball player at Mars High School and boasts an impressive 4.1 GPA.

He is currently on our watch list as an underclassman without a fixed position, although he will likely move over to wide receiver and defensive back. The size is obviously intriguing, especially with the jump from his previously listed measurables.

He posted an incredible Hail Mary catch back in the middle of September that immediately caught my attention. His Twitter is filled with AAU basketball clips, while his Hudl has a few football reps available to evaluate. Unfortunately, there still isn’t enough there for me to build a completely new evaluation.

The kid is obviously intriguing. That Hail Mary gives me a good look at his potential ball skills, high pointing ability and what his frame could eventually become as an upperclassman.

Right now, though, I simply don’t have enough tape to garner much more than that, despite wanting to. I’ll be checking back in periodically because a 6’5, 190 pound multi sport athlete with this type of basketball background is absolutely worth monitoring.

Kellan Garvin continues to separate himself as an intriguing two-way prospect in the 2029 class. At 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, his length and athletic profile immediately create matchup possibilities on both sides of the football. On offense, Garvin’s size gives him a large catch radius and the potential to become a difficult target for opposing defensive backs. His versatility at wide receiver and cornerback adds significant value as scouts evaluate his overall upside. Garvin’s recent film evaluation suggests that his current waitlist status may not fully reflect his developing prospect profile.
