About Kason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'd describe my gameplay style as fast, physical, and smart. On offense as a running back, I hit the hole hard, stay low, and look to make defenders miss or run through them if I have to. On defense at linebacker, I play fast and physical. I focus on reading the play, attacking the ball, and being aggressive in the tackle while helping lead the defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d say I have a tough, competitive mentality. I’m always locked in, focused, and ready to work. Whether it’s practice, film, or game time. I don’t back down from challenges, and I use any doubt or pressure as motivation. Personality-wise, I’m a team-first guy. I stay humble, lead by example, and try to bring positive energy to the locker room and the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve earned many academic awards as a 4.0 honor student, and I take a lot of pride in working just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. I’m also part of the Youth Advisor Committee at my school, where I help mentor younger students and try to be a positive role model. Being involved and making a difference off the field is just as important to me as competing on it.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football, school, and community involvement, I’ve developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. I’ve also learned how to manage my time well, balancing academics, athletics, and service while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. These experiences have helped shape me into a dependable teammate, student, and leader in my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, starting on varsity as a freshman was a big challenge. I had to adjust quickly to the speed and physicality of the game while also keeping a 4.0 GPA, taking honors classes, and staying active in community service and leadership roles. Balancing it all taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay mentally tough under pressure.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I want a strong football program where I can compete, grow, and contribute. It’s important to me to be part of a positive team culture, have coaches who develop players on and off the field, and be in an environment that supports community involvement.

Kason was player I walked away very impressed with this past weekend. The big bodied Reed City running back was very impressive during individual drills. He made very sharp cuts and showed very light feet for a kid his size. I was also very impressed with Kasons mobility during drills verse linebackers. He regularly sent defenders out of position with a very shifty jump cut. With kasons performance on Saturday I feel he has put other 2028 backs on notice as a top back in the state.

Kason was a major weapon as a sophomore, serving as Reed City’s featured back and kick returner.

He’s a hard runner with above-average vision. Although Kason is not an elite athlete, I’m very impressed with his ability to navigate through traffic. Plus, he’s not afraid to put a shoulder down. This season, I’d love to see upgraded contact balance as well as speed. I’m confident that we’ll see an improved version of the player he was last year.

I can already see Kason being an underrated kid in this class. He is going to thrive in this run heavy offense Reed City is known to run. Going through his highlights, I came away incredibly impressed with his burst and acceleration at the RB position. He hits the hole hard and has the breakaway speed to get through all 3 levels in the blink of an eye. His vision is above average and he already has a pretty nasty stiff arm in his bag. Defensively he seems to read and react well and is able to play the ball. I will definitely be keeping up with Kason and his development.
