has already made his decision, committing to Texas A&M Aggies football, giving the Aggies a dynamic and explosive playmaker. Dorsey’s production—over 700 yards from scrimmage last season—paired with his versatility made him a highly attractive target during the recruiting process. Even with his commitment locked in, expect other programs to continue checking in, as that’s the reality for a player of his caliber. He will likely still take visits, whether unofficial or official, but Texas A&M has positioned itself strongly here. Heading into next season, Dorsey will look to build on his production and prove why he was a take for an SEC program, with the potential to elevate his ranking even further before signing day.
Dorsey is a player that I have watched play in person, and he is one of the only players who was able to cover future first-round draft pick, Brysen Wright. Dorsey is a phenomenal athlete and is great when it comes to man coverage. I would like to see more of him in zone, as I didn’t get to see him in zone much at The Sevens event, but he was great. Dorsey has a ton of traits that not many have, and he is a growing frame that has him listed among the top players in the nation. He will be great at Texas A&M and will be even better in the NFL one day.
Rivals had him in the top 50 overall nationally and the No. 1 player in Georgia at one point in his recruitment cycle.
🏈 Physical Profile & Play Style
At around 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-3 and ~190 lbs, he combines size, length, and athleticism — ideal traits for a playmaking safety at the next level.
Dorsey is known for his instincts, ability to read the offense, and physicality in both run support and coverage.
📍 Recruiting Journey
He drew attention from nearly every top program in the country, including Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State, LSU, and others.
In November 2025, Dorsey announced his commitment to Texas A&M over his in-state Bulldogs and other finalists.
💥 Impact & Expectations
As one of the nation’s premier safeties, Dorsey figures to be a cornerstone defensive player wherever he lands, with the size and instincts to impact games immediately at the collegiate level.
One of the very best prospects across the country in the 2027 class, Dorsey’s versatility, ball skills, and natural athleticism will give him a chance to earn 5-star status sooner than later. He’s a natural playmaker with strong hands at wide receiver, catching 41 passes for 668 yards and 10 touchdowns. Defensively, Dorsey made 58 tackles and three INTs in coverage. He’s a do-it-all prospect who earned a giant offer this week from the Georgia Bulldogs, the USC Trojans, and the Texas A&M Aggies.
A promising two-way athlete with a nose for the football and strong, dependable hands, Dorsey is a shifty, big-play receiver who opened a lot of eyes this past season as a sophomore. One of the better athletes in the area, Dorsey shows Power Four potential this season, catching 41 passes for 668 yards and 10 touchdowns. He went over 100 receiving yards just once, but he went for 218 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Woodland. Dorsey is a promising 2027 pass-catcher to keep a close eye on next season.
