About Kamakazi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as a combination of high-pressure, aggressive defending & attacking the football, and direct plays. Technique is very important, and I try my best to learn how to incorporate new skills with technique from the trainings and coaching staff I get to work with as I progress and never stop learning.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have had some amazing trainers and coaches through the years. Some things I have heard them say is that I'm a good kid, have great football IQ, am super coachable, an extremely hard worker on and off the field. I am always trying to improve. I am training in the off season, on my own & with coaches. I invite my teammates, so that we can all improve together. I like to cook and play CoD.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In the first grade, I received an award for reading at an eighth grade level. I have received honor roll various times. 2025 Damone Bordenave Scholarship Award With the Highest GPAs Prior to COVID I competed in Shaolin Kenpo. I got some first place and second place awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been selected as team captain for various teams and tournaments that I have played for. I’m usually the one at my organization that the coach picks to demonstrate stretching, drills, and technique. I always try to boost my teammates up so that they can get better/improve. My mom runs a nonprofit athletic organization and I help her whenever I can at weekly open gyms and trainings.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During COVID, I got really out of shape. I ended up working w/ a rehab coach on strength & agility to get back into shape. Most of my football career I played up, and recently a lot of my teammates have aged out of youth football, I ended up being the more experienced player and had to help new teammates try to get up to speed and progress accordingly. I try to put in 110% ALWAYS, no matter what!

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to continue trying to compete at the next level. I’m looking for a school that provides both great academics and a great athletic program, where I can contribute and make an impact. The coaching staff is really important too because they will train, challenge, and push us to do and be better as players and individuals.

The first true Defensive/Offensive Linemen to come off the board, it should speak volumes about how coveted Kamakazi Naea Kamakazi Naea Kamakazi Naea 6'0" | 270 lbs | DL/OL Redwood Christian | 2029 State CA is. On top of being on the All-Name Team, Naea is a boulder on the interior of the line on both sides of the ball. Naea says his main position is Defensive Tackle/Nose and that his secondary position is Center on the O-Line. He’s a strong, stout kid that is only going to continue to get bigger, as his size 15-shoe indicates. Defensively he commands a double team if a team wants to have any chance of running up the middle–though he consistently defeated them all season. As an evaluator, I happen to love him even more as a Center. He’s so big, unassumingly quick and violent, he’s a Line Coach’s dream.
