About Kamakazi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as a combination of high-pressure, aggressive defending & attacking the football, and direct plays. Technique is very important, and I try my best to learn how to incorporate new skills with technique from the trainings and coaching staff I get to work with as I progress and never stop learning.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have had some amazing trainers and coaches through the years. Some things I have heard them say is that I'm a good kid, have great football IQ, am super coachable, an extremely hard worker on and off the field. I am always trying to improve. I am training in the off season, on my own & with coaches. I invite my teammates, so that we can all improve together. I like to cook and play CoD.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In the first grade, I received an award for reading at an eighth grade level. I have received honor roll various times. 2025 Damone Bordenave Scholarship Award With the Highest GPAs Prior to COVID I competed in Shaolin Kenpo. I got some first place and second place awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been selected as team captain for various teams and tournaments that I have played for. I’m usually the one at my organization that the coach picks to demonstrate stretching, drills, and technique. I always try to boost my teammates up so that they can get better/improve. My mom runs a nonprofit athletic organization and I help her whenever I can at weekly open gyms and trainings.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During COVID, I got really out of shape. I ended up working w/ a rehab coach on strength & agility to get back into shape. Most of my football career I played up, and recently a lot of my teammates have aged out of youth football, I ended up being the more experienced player and had to help new teammates try to get up to speed and progress accordingly. I try to put in 110% ALWAYS, no matter what!

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to continue trying to compete at the next level. I’m looking for a school that provides both great academics and a great athletic program, where I can contribute and make an impact. The coaching staff is really important too because they will train, challenge, and push us to do and be better as players and individuals.
