Manternach was a two-way contributor as a junior in 2024. He caught 19 passes for 255 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he collected 43.0 tackles (32 solo). Manternach stands out for the athleticism that allows him to impact the game on both sides of the ball. During his 11th-grade highlight video, he provides insight into his success. The first clip has him breaking up a pass while playing safety, where he brings physicality. On the second clip, he goes in motion, takes a short pass, makes a few guys miss and races down the sideline for a big gain. Much of the film shows him dicing up defenses in the middle of the field, but I’m intrigued by his work as a deep defensive back.
