Kaipeng Wang Kaipeng Wang 6'2" | 312 lbs | OL/DL Williston Northampton | 2028 New E is a massive, power-built offensive lineman who made the jump from East Longmeadow High School to the competitive NEPSAC prep ranks at Williston Northampton. At 6’2″ and 312 pounds he already carries legitimate Division I frame size with thick, dense muscle throughout his lower half and core. The transfer to Williston gives him a much higher level of daily competition and increased national exposure in front of college coaches who regularly attend NEPSAC games. While still early in his evaluation window, Wang’s tape shows a physical run-game specialist with the raw tools to develop into a multi-year college starter. Wang fires off the ball with impressive quickness for a 300-plus pounder. He consistently wins the initial engagement and creates immediate vertical push or lateral movement in the run game. He is at his best when asked to drive block or down block. Wang generates significant power through his hips and legs, displacing defenders and creating running lanes. His pad level and leverage are consistently good on the front side. For his size, Wang shows the ability to climb to the second level and reach linebackers in space. He also demonstrates the lateral agility to pull and get to the edge on outside zone or power schemes. These traits suggest he can handle zone-heavy schemes at the next level and has the feet to develop into a more scheme-versatile guard. Wang is currently more comfortable in the run game than in pass pro. He can be late off the snap in obvious passing situations, and his hand placement and punch timing are inconsistent. He occasionally gets caught reaching or lunging, which allows quicker edge rushers to slip inside or around him. Anchor strength is solid when he is square, but he can be walked back or knocked off balance when forced to slide and mirror.
Focused daily work on independent hand replacement, quick-set footwork, and maintaining a wide base will pay immediate dividends. Emphasizing “punch-and-reset” drills will help him control rushers rather than just react to them. Continued exposure at Williston against faster, more technically sound fronts will sharpen his ability to recognize stunts, blitzes, and line calls — areas that separate good high-school linemen from college-ready ones. Kaipeng Wang Kaipeng Wang 6'2" | 312 lbs | OL/DL Williston Northampton | 2028 New E is a high-upside offensive line prospect whose run-game strength and athletic ability already project him as a Power-conference candidate with proper development. His first-step quickness and ability to reach the second level give him the movement skills many 300-pounders lack, while the transfer to Williston Northampton will accelerate his technical growth and provide the game film college coaches want to see. With continued emphasis on pass-protection fundamentals and maintaining his natural leverage, Wang has the physical tools and frame to become a multi-year starter at the Group of 5 or low-major Power conference level and has the ceiling to push into the mid-major Power ranks if his technique catches up to his athleticism.
