Another great performance came from Kaden Yeager. The incoming senior WR and I have crossed paths a few times and Kaden always impresses. The 5’11” 168 lbs athlete put on a great showing during the combine with a 4.60 40, 6.98 L-Drill, 4.46 shuttle, and a broad jump of 9’5″. The 2026 WR is an explosive athlete who was able to win vertically and also with his short-intermediate route running. Kaden is so smooth with all his movements from route breaks to releases and seems to get to top speed within a few steps. Yaeger also has very natural ball skills, easily reeling in passes with his hands away from his body. He will come back to the football and can go up and high point it as well. The rising athlete has a slew of D3 offers and more are sure to join in. I’m excited to see him back on the field this fall.
This is not the first time that Kaden has come out to an event and caught our eyes with his performance. He was our MVP of the WR position back in December and put up another strong showing Sunday. Kaden ran 4.69 in the 40, 4.15 in the shuttle, 8’11” broad, and 6.72 in the L-Drill. The junior WR is one of the top northern WI juniors and also one of the best small-school players in the state. He checks a lot of playmaking boxes too. Speed to get deep. Quick feet to get open in the short passing game. The junior also possesses strong hands to go attack the ball and secure it at the edges of his catch radius.
Junior WR/ATH Kaden Yaeger grabbed my attention from the start. He started the day off with a 9’3″ broad jump on one of his attempts. Then went on to the position drills and demonstrated how talented he really is on the football field. Kaden has excellent body control, allowing him to attack route breaks with speed in and out of them. He has quick feet and also showed off impressive hands. In the one on ones is where WRs really get to separate. Kaden stood out from the crowd with his impressive concentration and ball tracking on the deep shots. He flashed strong hands to hang onto the ball through traffic and contact. The junior playmaker was a mismatch out wide and he needs to start hitting the radars of college programs.
