I love the fact that McNeil got Varsity reps in 3 different positions last year and looked good in all of them. The majority of his play time was on the defensive side of the ball where he was a starting LB. He’s thick and does a good job maintaining balance when he makes contact. He drives with his legs and does a good job using leverage where he can. He’s able to wrap up in open space as well. 45 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2 sacks, a pass deflected, and a forced fumble is what he accomplished as a freshman.
