Hopkin is a rising QB amongst the Colorado 2028 class. Measuring in at 6’3 180-pounds, he threw 164/276 for 2723 yards, 59.4% completion rate, 29 TDs, 10 INT, including 1 rushing touchdown. He has good athleticism due to his good change of direction, balance, speed, and acceleration. More of a pocket passer but can use his feet to get out of trouble. Very good throw power with a good release. Very good pocket presence and pocket mobility. He shifts and evades blitzing defenders and throws to the open man. Very good progression speed. Hopkin has good ball placement skills. In contested catch situations, he throws it right above his man for them to make a play on the ball. He’s an exciting QB to watch out for this camp season.
Hopkin measures in at 6’3 180-pounds. The currently sophomore QB went 164/276 for 2723 yards with a 59.4% completion rate, 29 TDS, 10 INT with 1 rushing touchdown. Hopkin has good athletic ability due to his very good change of direction, good acceleration, speed, and balance. Hopkin has very good throw power. He has a good release as well. Great pocket presence and mobility to get out of blitzes. Hopkin does a great job going through his progressions and finding the open man. He also has the athletic ability to scramble out of trouble. I believe Hopkin will join the 3000-yard passing family next season. Watch out for this bright young QB.
Hopkins has good athletic ability due to good acceleration, very good change of direction, good speed, and jumping. Good hand size to grip the football. He showed his good balance during the pro shuttle and L-drills. He was attentive and coachable throughout the event, listening to what was taught and implementing it into his game. During the 7 on 7 drills, he showed very good throw power and accuracy. Good release. Fluid throwing motion with a tight spiral. Hopkins has snappy hips and footwork when going through his progressions. He has good ball placement skills, and would throw it right above the WR and DB, allowing his receiver to make a play. I’m excited to see more from Hopkin going into next season !
Hopkin has showcased strong pocket passing ability this season, completing 69 of 128 attempts for 1,238 yards and nine touchdown passes. While turnovers have occasionally slowed drives, Hopkin’s ability to stretch the field and challenge defenses vertically keeps his offense explosive. He’s also added a rushing touchdown, though his focus remains on commanding the passing game. As the season progresses, Hopkin will aim to sharpen his decision making and reduce turnovers, positioning himself as a complete and reliable field general. His calm demeanor and willingness to take calculated risks make him a quarterback capable of leading his team deep into November.
