Justin Saunders Justin Saunders 5'11" | 163 lbs | DB/WR Brashear | 2028 State PA is a future star. Saunders looks bigger on film than his listed height and weight and plays like it too. Saunders primarily plays in the nickel role, often guarding Zs, Fs, or slots where he makes it look easy out there. Saunders is a run defense guru, always stays in his lane, quick to the ball carrier when recognizing the run, and physical at the POA of the ball carrier. In coverage, Saunders plays long using length to his advantage to break up passes. Saunders earned his first division 1 offer to Akron, this past winter, and I expect more to follow suit soon.

5’11, 155 pounds. Was recently on our watch list, Saunders now sits as a top 20 prospect overall, top five among DBs. Received his first FBS offer from Akron this past January.

Posted a five-minute freshman tape on Hudl back in November. First rep on tape has Saunders showing off his open-field athleticism. Saunders take a punt 60+ yards to the house, proving he’s more than just a promising DB at Bishop Canevin. Saunders doubles down on this notion, with his very next rep taking an interception back 70+ yards for a score. All of this on varsity. Saunders looks most comfortable operating in the slot (DB). Saunders works with enough awareness to disrupt passes that target inside or out, proving he can cover the seam in tandem with a safety, all while holding his own on a potential island inside of 15 yards. Great tackler for his age/experience level. Tough kid with a good build for DB/WR work. Excited to see his role expand next year.
