Justin Heckert Justin Heckert 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL/DL Whitehall | 2027 State PA is a good offensive lineman who played as a guard last year. He does a good job of firing off the ball and blocking defensive linemen. He is excellent at combo blocks. He will double-team a defensive tackle and then peel off to block a linebacker. Heckert also moves his feet well and does a good job of moving. He pulls out in front of the run game very well, as he kicks out defenders well. Heckert does a good job overall blocking defensive players.

Justin Heckert Justin Heckert 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL/DL Whitehall | 2027 State PA was a key piece for Whitehall’s 2024 rushing attack. The 6’3″ | 275lb OL prospect has tremendous size for only being a current Sophomore in HS. Heckert is extremely powerful, and understand how to use his leverage to get opposing defenders on the ground. Justin also has strong violent hands. This allows him to get that initial contact and push defenders back with ease. Heckert will continue to grow, which can only help him as an offensive lineman. If he can continue to get stronger, faster, and understand his assignments. The sky is the limit. Keep an eye on Heckert.

STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: Production, down-blocking capabilities
Justin Heckert’s tape is 19 minutes long, looks to be in chronological order. This is a big no-no in my book, hope to see a thorough tape put forth at some point that better encompasses his complete skill set. I do like the amount of reps in total, looks like a mixture of JV and varsity reps if I had to guess. This tape being a good foundation to work off of, I’m pleased with all things run-blocking early on. Good down-blocking from his right tackle position. Is a wrestler, which makes sense. Watching him work with leverage correlates to work with wrestling coaches, hope he expands in this area, will only help him develop as a better run blocker on the move, especially if stationed front-side on runs where Heckert is lead-blocking.
