Riley is a disruptive edge prospect with good twitch and plus athleticism. He shows strong movement skills and bend in his quick get off and ability to redirect with fluidity. Can change directions and accelerate in the short area while adjusting mid-play to chase down ball carriers in space. Athleticism stands out on tape but also flashes a combination of technique and awareness. He plays with strong hands, does a good job stacking blockers at the POA, and shows the ability to shed cleanly to make plays on the ball. He maintains good leverage, sets a strong edge, and can anchor down to hold a gap. Excellent feel and diagnosis ability, he locates the football quickly and reacts with a high motor, whether in pursuit from the backside or diagnosing screens/misdirection. Great foundational skillset and drive that will warrant increased college attention as he progresses and develops.
