Julian is undersized for the DL position, but that didn’t stop him from being an impact player in the trenches on varsity as a freshman. The 2028 is explosive off the line and that quickness puts him in so many advantageous situations. Whether it be winning with leverage or getting a step on an IOL, if Julian gets off the snap with that usuallyg great timing then big things usually follow for him and the defense. He is turning into a tough matchup already. I can’t wait to see the weekly numbers and tape from this kid.

At just 5’11” 220 lbs Julian Aranda Julian Aranda 5'11" | 240 lbs | DL Racine Lutheran | 2028 State WI was able to work his way onto the varsity field and into the interior of the DL. You don’t see many kids that young, with that size playing on Friday nights, but Julian dominates with his quickness off the snap. His tape has plenty of examples of that excellent first step that slips him through gaps before OL can get their hands on him. What surprises is that Julian also shows some strength to hold the line of scrimmage at that size when he does engage with the OL. We will be keeping an eye on this kid over the years to watch him continue to develop into even more of a mismatch.
