Keyser has a nice defensive and special teams player in 2024 DB Josh Shoemaker Josh Shoemaker 5'11" | 185 lbs | DB Keyser | 2024 State WV . Shoemaker starts at free safety for the Golden Tornado and is solid in both run defense and pass coverage. He has good size at 5’11 185 and I like his physicality as a defensive back. Shoemaker is a very good tackler that does well in space but can also run and defend the pass. You can see his speed on his running back highlights but I like him more as a DB. I enjoyed seeing the amount of special teams highlights he had in his junior highlight video and you can tell he takes that part of the game seriously. Shoemaker will be one of Keyser’s top seniors for the 2023 season.
