About Josh

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

At defensive end I love rushing the passer. I like to use my finesse moves the most utilizing my speed. I also can quickly shed off of blocks to make plays in the backfield. At tight end I love drags across the middle and jump balls down field. I’m also a great blocker at that spot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a team player first. If someone messes up I’m always there to pick them up. Whenever I mess up I do my best to focus on the next play to make up for my mistakes.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Fellowship of Christian Academy club, Rotary club, and Bible club. I also won a student of the year award.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think I’m a natural born leader on the football field and in any sport. I like to think that I have little kids watching me and want to be like me so I try my best to set a good example. And teamwork is very important to me. All teams have to be on the same page no matter how good they are.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, during my sophomore year I was faced with an injury in my low back. I suffered a stress fracture and was out for about 4-5 months missing the 2nd half of the season. I tried to keep a positive attitude and figure out why god has put me in that position. Now that I am back I am looking to stay healthy and play every snap I can.

What type of college are you looking for?

I really just want to go to a college that wants me at their program and looks to have me in their future.

2026 Musselman TE Josh Armentrout Josh Armentrout Josh Armentrout 6'4" | 205 lbs | TE/DL Musselman | 2026 State WV will be a key piece to the Applemen’s success on both sides of the ball this season. He’s a long and athletic prospect with a high ceiling as a tight end at the next level. If they can open up the passing game more in their single-wing system, Armentrout will prove to be a dangerous threat. He’ll also create havoc at defensive end and has the potential to play there in college as well.
