Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A touchdown machine down in Savannah who lit up the stat sheet this fall, Turner may not play against the best competition, but he was consistently one of the top passers in the area who flashed easy D1-potential in his second season. He’s a good athlete with natural arm talent who sees the field well and can deliver a catchable ball down the field. He takes care of the football in the passing game with enough mobility to also make big plays with his legs. This sleeper 2028 quarterback threw for 2,134 yards and 36 touchdowns with just three INTs while rushing for 256 yards and six more touchdowns. He’s likely bound for a giant junior season next year and will see a rise in the next 2028 Prep Redzone update.

A poised passer in the Savannah area having a really nice sophomore season, Turner is a dual-threat quarterback with good footwork and the ability to throw a catchable pass down the field. He leads his receivers, can push the ball vertically, and has been one of the more effective quarterbacks in the region so far this season. He’s not the biggest or fastest quarterbacks, but he’s having a really productive year throwing for 1,551 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 163 more yards on the ground and four touchdowns. He’s one of the top 2028 quarterbacks in that area of the state and will be an easy addition to the next rankings update.
