Manson plays a hybrid linebacker/nickel role for Franklinton, but he also calls the plays, something you rarely see from a prospect at his position. He’s a sound tackler and big hitter, while flashing coverage skills and the versatility to play at multiple spots on the defense. I’m looking for him to add about 10-15 more pounds and drop his 40 just slightly. If he can do those two things, Ivy League and other high-academic FCS and D2 schools should be falling over themselves to sign him.

I love Manson’s demeanor and the way he plays the game. He flies around the back end and delivers big hits, playing bigger than his frame would suggest. Now, I just need him to add a bit more weight and show out at college camps this summer and I’ll be ready to rocket him up the rankings. He plays with such great instincts and with his academic success, Ivy and Pioneer League teams should be all over him.

Manson is fearless as he usually plays against guys who are a bit bigger than him, but as he gets bigger he hasn’t lost much quickness. Mostly a slot corner early in his high school career, he’s developing more into an outside linebacker or box safety. That’s probably where he ends up at the next level, so we’ve got him listed as a linebacker. He’s a sure tackler and wraps up well, leading to a lot of solo tackles, even on bigger running backs and receivers.
