Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A Macon native who transfered to Jones County this spring, Hurley is a big, athletic quarterback with dual-threat ability and natural arm talent. He’s a gifted prospect on the rise who could have a really strong final season for the Greyhounds this fall. He can make plays in the pocket with his legs and enough strength to push the ball down the field. His talent and potential is easy to see and he’s likely heading towards a great senior season if he continues to improve over the summer.

Hurley, who transferred into Jones County, is a true breakout candidate and an eye-catcher from a traits perspective. He is a towering, lean prospect, hovering around 6’5 200. There is plenty of room to get bigger, but he will likely always be a thinner-framed guy. He is a little rough around the edges, but he has an elastic, natural arm that allows him to rip the ball around. He is a smooth athlete in space, creating his own yards. He has some development ahead of him, but there is reason to be bullish on the upside here.
