Region IDs: 6 Macon Area Breakout Candidates

I expect a few guys on this list to tack on serious recruiting buzz here soon.    There's a whole lot of good from Ramsey's freshman tape, and the natural development of his frame and playmaking will only make him even better. He is a lean, leggy prospect with fantastic suddenness, making subtle jolts and cuts around contact to jump into new running lanes. He is a long strider who could add more speed as he develops. For a thinner player, he is brilliant amongst chaos and contact. His ability to bounce off ball carriers and restart runs is impressive, and he keeps his feet firing in those situations to squeeze the most out of each rep. I expect plenty of recruiting attention to come his way, and I've added him to our next 2029 rankings draft.     Hurley, who transferred into Jones County, is a true breakout candidate and an eye-catcher from a traits perspective. He is a towering, lean prospect, hovering around 6'5 200. There is plenty of room to get bigger, but he will likely always be a thinner-framed guy. He is a little rough around the edges, but he has an elastic, natural arm that allows him to rip the ball around. He is a smooth athlete in space, creating his own yards. He has some development ahead of him, but there is reason to be bullish on the upside here.     Banks is a productive player on both sides of the ball, but will obviously project at RB, given his size. Banks is a bowling ball back. His foot fire and low center of gravity allow him to fall forward and sheer his way through contact. He has desirable quickness in the short areas and attacks openings with patience. Just a high floor, productive rusher who should get a crack at the college level.     Flint is a smaller, but well-rounded back with some splashy tape. He is a quick-footed, speedy runner in space who maintains his top gear as he weaves and changes direction. He is a capable player in space who can be trusted to create his own yards, which offers him some upside as a receiver. Wouldn't call him a thumper, but at times on tape, he will drop his pad level and greet defenders with some pop in his pads. A productive, fun player who small schools should get involved with.     Oliver is a strong breakout candidate this fall, and he really flashes on tape. He looks the part, carrying 6'0 215 on a lean, strong, prototype build. Oliver is a tough runner upon contact, dropping his shoulder to thump and also churning his feet to push the pile forward. He is a quick-twitch, one-cut runner who jumps in and out of running lanes. His long strides in space help him separate, even without being considered a burner. There is already so much to like about this guy, and two years left to produce and make subtle improvements, such as pad-level, only make me more bullish. He holds FBS offers, and more should roll in.     There's so much to like on tape here. Smith is a long, cut athlete at 6'1 180, playing as a big nickel on defense, while flipping around and taking some direct snaps on offense. He is a truly electric pursuer of the football, which is where his money will be made at the next level. He is both twitchy and fast, which he pairs with a hot motor to chase the football around the field. He has some pop at the point of attack, too. Reps on offense just add more context to his athleticism, quickly exploding through openings to occupy space, and using his speed to stay away from defenders. There are no reported offers here, but that is surely set to change.
