Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A fantastic do-it-all type of athlete at Fellowship Christian, Granby was one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in metro-Atlanta last year, showing promising arm talent with plenty of speed and natural playmaking ability. As a senior last fall, Granby was terrific as he threw for just under 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns while adding 865 yards on the ground with 11 more touchdowns. The 6-foot-0 195-pounder from Roswell chose Michigan State over Georgia Southern, Southern Miss, Army, among others.

He may not have lit up the stat sheet during Fellowship Christians 26-0 win over Bowdon, but the talent was easy to see. Easily one of the best athletes on the field, Granby showed plenty of arm talent, impressive athleticism, and the ability to escape defenders with his legs. He can buy time in the pocket, can take off for a big run, and showed impressive accuracy down the field. He had at least two or three big plays called back due to penalties, but he showed he’s one of the top sleeper quarterbacks across the state. He got his final season off to a terrific start with his strong performance in week one.

One of the top dual-threat in the metro-Atlanta area, this Roswell native is a natural athlete who can beat defenses with both his arms and his legs. He brings plenty of raw arm talent and should have a big senior season through the air if he continues to work and develop his craft. His athleticism allows him to buy time and create when plays break down and he has more than enough speed to take off down the field for big gains. His natural talent and potential is easy to see and he earned a new offer recently from Southern Miss. He brings easy D1-caliber athleticism and could see more offers come his way this summer.

Jonathan Granby Jonathan Granby 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Fellowship Christian | 2026 State GA is one of the more intriguing prospects I have evaluated in the 2026 class. I have long viewed him as a QB prospect, but he is starting to pick up some buzz as an athlete. The reasoning is obvious. He has is both fast and explosiveness, allowing him to create his own yards and drive through contact while also running away from defenders in the open field. He flipped around and played some DB this year, and surprised me with both his ability and willingness as a tackler/striker. He is a ranked baseball prospect here in Georgia with plenty of juice in his arm. Similar to Trey Smith Trey Smith 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Roswell | 2026 State GA and Narcisse, he can attack down the field while also making unique, off-platform throws. Every coach might have a different idea for what position they want him to play, but he is a good enough athlete to adjust to wherever he ends up.

Jonathan Granby Jonathan Granby 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Fellowship Christian | 2026 State GA isn’t frequently mentioned among the best QBs in Georgia, but I believe he is massively underrated. He is an impressive athlete, clocking 4.47 speed at camps this offseason and also performing well on the diamond. As is typical with baseball prospects playing QB, there is plenty of juice present in his arm and he can operate off-platform. He evades pressure exceptionally well and can turn a sack into a massive gain on any snap with his legs. He has a quick release and frequently attacks the underneath part of the field. However, when he steps into his throws, he has surprising arm strength, bombing the ball behind safeties with a high trajectory. Granby has plenty of arm talent, but he can create and evade when under pressure which separates him from some other QBs in the state. He has a D1 grade from me and has yet to receive major recruiting attention.
