About Jonas

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a versatile athlete who contributes on both sides of the ball. On defense, I play cornerback with aggression and a keen ability to read the field, often anticipating plays before they develop. Coaches have praised my football IQ, noting that I demonstrate incredible knowledge of the game for his age. On offense, I bring the same awareness and athleticism.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m disciplined, motivated, and determined to play at the next level. I work hard every day to improve, and my coaches have told me I’m extremely coachable. I take feedback seriously and always try to bring my best to the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I serve as a junior coach for my local PAL (Police Athletic League), helping younger athletes learn the fundamentals of football and develop teamwork skills. This role has taught me leadership, patience, and the importance of giving back to my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills from a young age, serving as team captain from the time I was 5 through Junior Varsity. As an older brother, I’ve also learned responsibility, patience, and how to mentor others. These experiences have helped me become a coachable, motivated player who contributes both on and off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve always played up an age group in youth football, which meant I was often the smallest player on the field. Even now, people tell me I need to gain weight to be taken seriously, but that hasn’t stopped me — I earned my way onto varsity at the end of 9th grade and started on both sides of the ball. I know my size will come with time, but I refuse to let it hold me back in the meantime.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers strong academics while also having a competitive football program. I want a school where I can continue to grow both on the field and in the classroom.
