Joyce has been a dynamic athlete from the time that he stepped on the field for Teton but he has add good weight to his frame and his speed continues to be one of the most impressive things about him. He is running well and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him be the fast player on the field at all times this season. He has great fluidity in his hips and is a physical corner who is not afraid to get in the face of a wide receiver.

Joyce is Rated as a 3-star prospect and checks into our rankings as one of the top defensive backs in the state of Idaho. He has tremendous natural instincts on the back-end with natural ball skills, can cover a ton of ground quickly and is a highly instinctual player that often beats quarterbacks into bad throws over the middle.

Against the run, He is not afraid to dive into the box and is a sure tackler in the open field that takes the proper angles and brings a good thump at the point of attack. He has a strong build to his frame and is another Idaho prospect that has been flying under the radar but should be closing in his first offer soon.

Joyce is a highly instinctual middle of the field safety that can cover a ton of ground and has natural ball skills and regularly baits quarterbacks into bad throws before breaking and making plays on the ball. He shows disciplined eyes in zone coverage, has fluid hips downfield in transition and is a big time hitter in the box when coming downhill. Joyce shows closing speed when breaking towards the ball or making tackles out in space and is a very balanced safety that is a no brainer next level kid. He checks into our rankings as the number 2 defensive back and just inside the top 30 overall.

Joyce is one of the top safeties across Idaho regardless of class, and checks into our 2026 rankings as the number one defensive back in the 2026 class. He is a high IQ prospect that can cover the entire back half of the field with tremendous open field tackling abilities, takes good angles in space and brings a nice thump at contact when coming downhill in the run game. He also flashes outstanding ball skills, high-point abilities and is smooth in transition with fluid hips and a quick trigger when breaking to ball carriers. Look for Joyce to be in the mix as one of the top ballhawks this Fall, and he should be a candidate to draw D3+ interest/roster spot offers as he continues on through his prep career for Teton.

Joyce is a true ball hawk in the middle of the third level the Teton defense and a First-Team All State Selection. He covers the entire field with long strides, closing speed and outstanding breaking ability and ball skills. He is a big time hitter from the back end, and does a nice job at breaking up passes over the middle while able to break quickly without false steps and close in a hurry on pass catchers while tremendous in run support. Joyce is truly one of the top defenders in all of Idaho, and should be moving up our ranks in the next update and currently checks in as the number one defensive back in the 2026 class across the state.
