Newman sees a big rise in our final rankings checking in as the top ranked ATH as he offers tons of position versatility at the next level on either side of the ball and is one of the more impressive athletes across the region with tremendous length and long speed downfield. From his quarterback position running a option offense, he showed he is a true dual threat with a good initial burst, high football IQ when reading defenders and can break away in the open field with vision, contact balance and the ability to make defenders miss in space. He also shows he can fit the ball into tight windows, gets it out quick and has a nice deep ball with proper velocity and touch. Newman doubles as a edge rusher as well and showed violent hands, natural bend around the corner and twitch off the edge when countering back inside. He currently holds offers from Carroll College and Rocky Mountain.

One of the top athletes across the state and a true dual-threat signal caller that can play anywhere on the field, Newman is having a stellar senior season and should make an immediate impact at the next level once he inks with a school. He has recently seen a uptick in his recruitment gathering offers from Carroll College and Rocky Mountain and should fit nicely in the Frontier Conference anywhere on the field. He has thrown for 1,300 yards and 9 touchdowns while adding another nearly 900 yards on the ground with 11 touchdowns and doubles his duty on defense as well.

Newman has been a frequent flyer on our top performers reports and is having a big time sernioe season and is impacting the game on both sides of the ball. He is an elite athlete with good range, a big catch radius and is explosive with the ball in his hands with downfield speed, chunks yardage and can create seperation. He had another top week 4 performance on Friday night, posting 211 yards passing and 2 TD’s, 152 rushing and 2 TD’s and accounted for 363 yards of total offense on the night. Newman is going to be a late D2/NAIA+ steal for a college program and is a key name to note post season as we approach national signing day.

Newman is another athlete that is one of the top two-way guys across Idaho that is not talked about enough and is having a breakout senior season for McCall-Donnelly. He can play a variety of different positions and has put up some big time numbers through the first few weeks of the season. Through three weeks, he has thrown for almost 500 yards and 5 touchdowns, rushed for another 300 yards and 4 touchdowns and has 1 receiving touchdown. He should continue putting up video-game like numbers over the course of the season and it will be interesting to see what schools come in and offer.

Newman should have a breakout senior season heading into the Fall, and has plus length for the position with the frame and length to continue packing on more weight in college. He has looked good on the camp circuit and was offered by Carroll College after camping with them last week and should see other Frontier schools come in soon as well.
