Speed is the key factor that sticks out in John’s film. Chances are he will be the fastest player on the field in most games he suits up for. He also displays good elusiveness, change of direction, and lateral agility that all play into his running style. He can gain the edge on outside running plays before defenders catch up and is able to quickly make a cut into space allowing his athleticism to take over. When he sees the hole on inside runs, he quickly accelerates through the hole and displays solid contact balance to keep his feet through traffic and arm tackles. Shows good vision and ability to create yards when a play breaks down, and when he finds space, you can expect to see him in the endzone. He can also run routes out of the backfield and is dangerous after the catch. He has already received some Division 1 offers and more will come.
