is probably the one prospect I take the most joy in having watched his growth in a time lapse. I first met Prokapus on the 2023 camp circuit and saw a young boy with potential. Fast forward a year later and Prokapus has evolved into a young man with tremendous upside. You would be hard pressed to find a more athletic offensive lineman in the state, as he registered a 107″ broad jump, 4.53 pro agility, and a 4.69 forty yard dash. Film shows that at his guard spot he works well in tandem on inside zone plays, giving the down-lineman just enough of a shove for his center to comfortably overtake; relatedly, on duo-type plays, Prokapus works double teams very well. The mark of any good offensive lineman, Prokapus works to extend and works his opponent upward off of his feet. Perhaps what Prokapus’ most redeeming trait might be how well he moves laterally. This enables him to slide protect, power down, reach, and pull extremely effectively. Lastly, Prokapus plays with good overall pad level and wins with his head positioning. Prokapus is currently committed to Yale.

In back-to-back weekends I got to take a look at Prokapus and in back-to-back weekends he looked good. During the PSR Big Showcase I was able to get much closer look at his game and abilities. Upon a second look I got a better sense of Prokapus’ athleticism, which manifested in two ways. Prokapus showed borderline elite quickness in his pass protection footwork. He gets into it very quickly and moves his feet very well to maintain control when setting the pocket. This gives him a chance during every snap to win. Secondly, Prokapus was one of the more pliable offensive bigs present. He bent well, better than most, which given his size helps him play with a low pad level and move people off their spot.

The rising sophomore Prokapus was a cocensus standout amongst the o-line coaches, which conferred the impression he left on me as well. What I saw that drew me to Prokapus was how he plays with a strong, sturdy base. This base allows him to control his matchup with balance and power. Prokapus was a runner too – no not like a track star – but a runner in the sense that he runs his feet extremely well. This, combine with a good base, creates immediate and dramatic movement on down linemen.
