Smooth in and out of breaks, he consistently creates separation and shows strong hands in traffic. After the catch, he turns routine gains into explosive plays with quick cuts and balance through contact.

He understands how to tempo his routes, using pacing and leverage to keep defenders off balance. Comfortable working all three levels of the field, he can stretch vertically, settle into soft spots on intermediate routes, and move the chains when needed on short timing throws. Shows good awareness against zone coverage and adjusts well to ball placement on the run.

John brings reliable hands and smooth movement to the receiver position. What shows up on film is his ability to run clean routes and create natural separation with timing and body control. He understands spacing in the defense and does a good job sitting in open zones to give his quarterback an easy target.

He tracks the ball well over his shoulder and shows confidence attacking throws in traffic. After the catch, he transitions quickly and looks to turn upfield with purpose, gaining extra yards through vision and balance.
