Unsure how this massive TE/DE prospect fell through the cracks on my part. A baseball prospect, posting a .400avg in 65 at-bats for North Catholic HS. He self-reports some special numbers for his size, a 4.58 40, a 10’1 broad, a 32.5″ vert to name a few. Received an offer out of Youngstown State this past June.

The Youngstown State offer is certainly a football one, despite myself not being able to find any substantial tape of Safar on the turf. I feel considerably less confused as to why we didn’t have him on radar before. I usually do not rank kids without tape, yet I will honor whatever YSU sees in this young man, especially considering they are a lot closer to the young man than we are. Excited to see what he’s capable of now that he isn’t a surprise to the media.
