Barrett is another elite athlete that is a strong route runner and can play on either side of the ball in college. He has a sturdy frame, good length and a huge catch radius to go up and win in the red-zone and show big play abilities after the catch with long strides to chunk yardage in the open field and can hit a true third level gear. He is a precise route runner that is quick in and out of his breaks and is strong after the catch and tough to take down in the open field, looking for contact and showing contact balance and the ability to break tackles/force poor angles in space. His combination of size/speed/body control is impressive and he is going to be a nice steal for a college program.
Barrett is one of the top returning players overall across the state of Idaho and checks a lot of boxes from the receiver position. He can play on the outside or in the slot and can stretch the field and gets over the top of safeties with ease with strong hands/tracking abilities. He chunks yardage off the ball with long strides and is physical off the line against press coverage and can run a variety of different routes inside or outside the hashes. After the catch he is tough to take down and is a strong runner with contact balance and some short area wiggle and is a very fluid mover for his size with the ideal frame/length for the FCS+ level in college. Barrett should draw plenty of Big Sky attention heading through his senior year, and is going to be a quality get for a college program.
Barrett is becoming an up and coming top prospect across the state of Idaho and has all the physical tools needed for the next level. He has a big catch radius, strong hands and downfield speed while a diverse route runner with tons of upside and untapped potential. He is off to a strong start so far in his Junior season and erupted last week for 129 yards and 3 scores, while adding another 2 INT’s on the night. He should start drawing plenty of college attention during the season and should have a big off-season this Winter/Spring.
Barrett is another big time downfield target that is a very smooth and fluid athlete that offers position versatility either in the slot or on the outside but should find his home at outside receiver in college. He has a strong build, downfield separation abilities and is one of the more dynamic play-makers across Idaho heading into this season. He is a long strider that covers a ton of ground downfield, runs precise routes and shows he can make off-platform catches with ease. Barrett is a no-brainer next level guy that should have a big time Junior season and really start seeing his recruitment pick up next winter and is another player that will enter into our 2027 rankings in the next update.
Barrett is only a rising Junior but he’s one of the top outside play-makers across Idaho. He has the ideal frame and length for the outside with a huge catch radius and downfield speed to create separation vertically. He shows strong hands in traffic and can go up and make off platform catches with good body control and balance. He also shows he can stretch the field and get off man coverage while a very smart route runner against the zone and is physical near the line of scrimmage when blocking on the perimeter. In the next rankings update, he is a definite riser and should have a breakout Junior season campaign for Kimberly.
Barrett has a really good year for Kimberly where he has 649 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. He is able to go get the football out of the air and win the 50/50 ball along with his ability to really create separation. He is a smooth route runner that is able to get in and out of his breaks with really soft hands. He tracks the ball well and should be a player to keep an eye on in the coming years.
