About Jhonas

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Focused, Smart and Aggressive style of football. Great game IQ with nose for the ball and good open field tackling.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I like to have fun but know exactly when it's time to lock in. I'm focused, determined and relaxed. I work hard and aim for high goals.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

My awards are around educational merit and achievement. Honor roll, All American scholar-athlete, All-League LB, Wrestling Team MVP and Captain

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've learned to work hard at supporting my community and team. I like to lead by example on and off the field. Supporting my team by doing what's needed with enthusiasm.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During youth football, I always started on both sides of the football. When I began my Freshman season in spring ball, I was placed on 3rd string. I stayed focused on what I could control and worked hard each practice. After the mid-season bye week that year, I moved myself up to a starting defensive position.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a large to mid-sized college with a strong academic curriculum in a suburban community. Excellent programs in Business, Finance or Engineering. An environment I can grow as a man and athlete.
