wasted no time getting acclimated to football in Greater Beckley Christian’s return to the field. Spencer turned all five touches into 242 total yards and 5 touchdowns in the Crusaders’ win over Van. He showed his explosiveness as both a runner and receiver before moving into the backfield later in the game after a teammate went down with an injury. Spencer is a standout basketball player, but it was clear in Week 1 that his athleticism translates naturally to football, as he consistently looked like the most dynamic athlete on the field. Expression Prep will give Spencer and the Crusaders a much tougher test this week, but his high school football career could not have gotten off to a better start.

gives Greater Beckley an intriguing athlete to work with as the Crusaders bring football back to the school. The 2028 WR is a 6’2 170 basketball standout who played middle school football at Oak Hill, and that athletic background should give him a good foundation as he transitions back to the football field. His length and athleticism give him the potential to become a big-play target, especially as he gets more comfortable with the position. Spencer is new to high school football, but he is one of the Crusaders’ top athletes to watch as the program develops.
