Matthews is a speedster with inside-out versatility. He is a threat to score whenever he gets behind a secondary and has shown to be impactful at all three levels of the field. Matthews is a strong receiver in the middle of the field where he hauls the ball in and protects himself from free hits. He is elusive in space and can make multiple defenders miss in the open field. Matthews took advantage of the opportunities last season and showed that he is ready to make the next jump. He is a player who has the skillset to be a top playmaker on the War Eagle offense.
