How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is quick and shifty, with the ability to read the field effectively and anticipate plays. I excel at creating separation and getting open quickly, making me a reliable target for my teammates. I pride myself on being a versatile player who can contribute with strong yards after the catch and step up to block when needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I pride myself on being a leader both on and off the field, setting a strong example for my teammates and always staying ready to put in the work. Whether it’s during practice, in the classroom, or in the weight room. I’m eager to bring this work , leadership, and commitment to excellence to the college level, where I can continue to grow as student athlete .

Growing up, I was always one of the smaller players on the field, so I’ve worked hard to turn that into an advantage by focusing on my speed and agility. I understand the importance of being quick and explosive in the game, and I’ve dedicated myself to improving in those areas. Matthews is a speedster with inside-out versatility. He is a threat to score whenever he gets behind a secondary and has shown to be impactful at all three levels of the field. Matthews is a strong receiver in the middle of the field where he hauls the ball in and protects himself from free hits. He is elusive in space and can make multiple defenders miss in the open field. Matthews took advantage of the opportunities last season and showed that he is ready to make the next jump. He is a player who has the skillset to be a top playmaker on the War Eagle offense.
