I was additionally impressed with Jeremiah Jones, a wide receiver for TMP OH Gold 18U that stood out on Sunday’s slate of games. This talented rising star out of the state of Ohio had outstanding size and a great wingspan. I also really liked how Jones could haul in those challenging passes in crunch time. Jones also stood out with his versatility in the endzone, proving he could elevate off the ground to catch the touchdown pass.

Has played both inside and outside receiver spots. High upside recruit with good height, size and length, is a bit of a raw route runner but his size-speed combination is top-shelf. Jones has huge upside given his youth and potential for development.

Jones is a great player on both offense and defense for Taylor. He plays with great athleticism and as a defender, he covers a lot of space quickly. He is a good zone defender who can manipulate quarterbacks into bad throws. He can give up space and recover to get to the ball and he can battle with receivers to break up passes. It will be interesting to see what side of the ball Jones goes with as his primary side, but I see a great future for Jeremiah regardless.
