2030 Oakland (TN) DL JC Ridley JC Ridley 5'8" | 190 lbs | OL Oakland Middle School | 2030 TN brought a disruptive presence to the interior and played with the kind of edge you want to see from a young defensive tackle. He may still be growing and expanding his frame, but he doesn’t play small at all. He fires off the ball with intent and uses his quickness to create problems immediately. What stood out was how well he moved laterally, avoiding clean contact and forcing offensive linemen to react on his terms. If they didn’t get their hands on him early, he was already working past them. Ridley kept his hands active throughout each rep and paired that with good short-area quickness to stay effective in tight spaces. Ridley plays fast, physical, and disruptive, and that style showed up consistently.

On each grade level of the Tennessee Future Stars, Oakland Middle School was very well represented. On this seventh-grade team, JC Ridley JC Ridley 5'8" | 190 lbs | OL Oakland Middle School | 2030 TN was one that surprised me with his performance. Ridley was the backup Right Guard, playing behind Eli Wolfe Eli Wolfe 5'10" | 260 lbs | OL/DL Concord Christian | 2030 TN (listed above), but he was excellent when he got his reps. I noticed his pass blocking above all else. Ridley set his base, got his hands inside the Kentucky defender and his arms extended. For a prospect that was originally selected as an Alternate for this team, he certainly surpassed expectations.
