The Scarlets captured several nice victories last season with Coakley delivering on defense. He totaled 38.5 tackles (24 solo, 6.5 for loss) with 4.0 sacks and four fumble recoveries. Coakley’s junior highlight video serves as evidence as to how he gets the job done. He’s fast and physical, capable of avoiding blockers or tossing them out of the way. His lateral quickness aids him greatly as does his understanding of leverage. Coakley comes off of the edge effectively, but also can bursts through the O-Line from the inside.
