Mallory wasted no time making his presence felt this season, leading the Eagles with 12 tackles in Week 1. He’s a physical, downhill linebacker who sets the tone for Northeastern’s defense. With Conley featuring both a steady ground game and efficient passing attack, Mallory’s impact will be critical. He’ll need another double-digit tackling effort to keep Conley from establishing rhythm and wearing down the defense.

Mallory has great size, but he can really move, making him a menace at the 3A level. He’s explosive enough to shoot gaps and big enough to take on blockers while still getting in on the tackle. He’s among the state’s leading tacklers, often because he’s seemingly always there to clean up as the second guy, and when he’s the first guy there, he doesn’t usually miss.

One of the top LBs in the class of 2026 will have his work cut out for him. Jaylin, also plays RB, impact will be made on the defensive side Saturday evening. Monroe run game drives their entire team, so Mallory needs to be there to slow them down. This game should jump start his recruitment; Mallory had FCS talent and a good game will show that.
