Washington had a bit of a back-and-forth last 12 months. After not catching a pass for the Mustangs as a sophomore, he finished second on the team in receiving yards (447) and touchdowns (four) while putting up a third-best 23 receptions. He won’t have to be the guy as long as
Cameron Gleaton

is still on the field. But he’s a pretty strong complement.
Take a look at what he did against Class 5A squads JL Mann and Lexington from last August and September as an example. In those two games, with Gleaton getting a ton of attention, Washington caught 11 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns. His production tapered off some as the season progressed, but the threat remained.
Now, after recovering from the effects of a car accident, Washington is back into the offseason routine and looking like he’s going to pick up even more targets after two of the team’s other receivers transferred out of the program. He is super twitchy immediately after the snap and can cause some problems this fall.
