It was a very tough choice for our 2A player of the year but in the end, I felt that Peete warranted this honor after a strong senior year that helped push his Bulldogs team to a region title and a semifinal playoff finish. This West Tennessee back was a workhorse this Fall where Peete ran for 1,697 yards and 30 touchdowns while averaging 9.1 yards per carry. The Bulldogs senior contributed in the pass game and on defense as well where he produced 81 tackles with 16 of them for loss. Peete was not only a high producer for his Bulldogs team but a leader, a warrior that rarely came off the field and did anything asked of him to help his squad win ball games.
