is putting together a strong junior season. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback has led Fort Wayne North to a 2-1 record in Ben Johnson’s fifth season with the team. He has a remarkable stat line through the first three weeks: 783 passing yards, eight touchdowns with zero turnovers. Rivers flashes great deep ball accuracy, great mobility and is accurate when throwing on the move.

Rivers has developed so much throughout his high school career, and his frame has caught up. He’s thick, looks good, and has a fantastic arm. He throws a tight spiral and has great velocity. He’s a lefty who rolls out well and keeps his eyes downfield and shoulder square. Rivers has been one of my favorite QBs to watch develop in the 2026 class, and he’s come a long way.

Rivers played seven games, but when he played the Warriors’ offense had a spark and he showed he can definitely air it out. He has a quick release and an above-average arm, with good mobility to roll out and throw on the move.

Rivers transferred to Indiana last season from Illinois. His first year in Indiana was promising and now he’s headed to Warren Central to lead their program for the next 2-years. He’s a lefty with a big arm and who works just as hard as anyone. In terms of full field progressions and reading defenses, it’s getting there. The biggest thing Rivers has focused on is his footwork and staying clean in the pocket. All the training seems to be helping and he’ll be set up this fall for his opportunity.
