Jayden Holmes flashed some good skills as a linebacker and on special teams. On special teams, he is good on the kickoff team by running downfield and making tackles in the open field. Those same skills are apparent as a linebacker. He is able to read and react and trigger downhill. He is good as a run stopper by making tackles inside the box at a high level. Holmes should be a bigger contributor this season for Cumberland Valley, especially as a linebacker.

Jaydin brings a rare blend of speed and athleticism to the linebacker position, standing out as the most athletic player in the entire group. His agility and burst allowed him to cover a lot of ground quickly on Saturday, making him well suited for matchups against quicker backs and slot receivers. With his high ceiling, there’s a clear path for him to potentially transition into a nickelback role, where his speed and coverage instincts could truly shine.
Though Jaydin is a bit thin for a traditional linebacker, adding size to his frame would significantly increase his rank within the state. As a rising player with a promising skill set, he’s definitely one to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.
