Jayden Roland Jayden Roland 6'1" | 190 lbs | LB Scotland County | 2027 State NC proved that his love for rushing the passer isn’t just a preference — it’s a game-changer. The junior linebacker/edge rusher was a constant force for the Fighting Scots, delivering pressure on Dillon’s talented QB throughout the night.

But Roland saved his biggest moment for last, securing a game-ending sack as time expired, sealing Scotland’s dramatic win. In addition to his pass-rushing prowess, Roland was also stout against the run, making key stops and helping shut down Dillon’s ground game when it mattered most. His relentless motor and ability to disrupt plays made him a nightmare for Dillon’s offense all night long.

Jayden does a very good job of finding his way through traffic from his inside linebacker position to make tackles on a consistent basis. The patience is a good thing to be able to read plays, but there are some times when windows open that you want to see Jayden trust his eyes and explode to slam the window shut, but that will come with more reps and coaching. Jayden has an excellent GPA and that knowledge translates on the field as well.

Roland is what I like to call a dumpster diver at linebacker. He’s excellent at sorting through the trash in the running game and making plays on the ball. In fact, most of the best plays on his film are when he has to pick his way through traffic to make tackles near the line of scrimmage against heavier sets. Just a sophomore, Roland already commands the defense and I won’t be surprised if his overall numbers tick up as a junior.
