Measuring in at 6’3 170-pounds, Newbill has very good size and lengthy arms. The WR/CB had 52 receptions for 697 yards with 9 touchdowns, 36 total tackles , and 6 INT. Newbill has very good athletic ability due to very good jumping, change of direction, acceleration, and good speed. On both sides of the ball, he thrives with physicality. As a receiver, he uses his good release and very good separation quickness to make himself open. Due to his size, he is a great contested catch option.  Very good catching and ball tracking skills. Plucks the ball with ease on offense and defense. Very good at jamming the receiver at the line of scrimmage. Smooth and controlled back pedal and fluid hips to match the receiver’s cuts. Very good man coverage and good zone coverage. Very good read and reaction speed. One thing of note is his ability to tackle. Some corners shy away from tackling however Newbill succeeds and excels. Great job by the senior from Berthoud.

Newbill has very good size for a corner back measuring in at 6’3 165 pounds. Last season, he accounted for 48 total tackles (10 solo, 38 assisted), 2 INT, 4 PD and 1 FF. Newbill is a versatile defensive back, alternating from corner back and safety. He has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. He jams WR at the line of scrimmage and shows off his physicality. Very good closing quickness. Good back pedal. In man coverage, he sticks to the WR and creates pass deflections. Good in zone coverage with his very good reactionary speed. Newbill impressed me in the run game with his tackling ability. He has good tackling out in the open field, and you can trust him on an island. Keep an eye on him going into this season.

Newbill is a lengthy defensive back who splits his time between corner and safety. He measures in at 6’3 165 pounds. Last season, he accounted for 48 total tackles (10 solo, 38 assisted), 2 INT, 4 PD, and 1 FF. Newbill has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. He is physical at the line of scrimmage creating a very good press jam against the receiver. In zone coverage, he shows very good reactionary speed. He trusts what he sees, and attacks. Newbill has very good closing quickness, and uses his lengthy arms to swat the ball away from the WR. He’s got good tackling form, and is productive against the run. I love seeing him play as a corner, and believe colleges need to look his way for a lengthy DB.

Newbill measures in at 6’3 165-pounds. Accounting for 48 total tackles (10 solo, 38 assisted), 2 INT, 4 PD, and 1 FF. Lining up as at both safety and corner. Newbill has good athletic ability due to very good jumping, acceleration, good speed and change of direction. He has very lengthy arms. Very good range. Newbill is good in zone coverage and man. He uses his fluid loose hips allowing him to turn easily and match the WR’s movements. Good tackling. He’ll play off the blocker in open field, pushing off and making the tackle. He’s an exciting prospect that should have colleges doing their investigation.

Newbill is a name that opposing QB’s need to know, as he is standing out as a ball-hawk safety and his ability to anticipate the play and make game changing INTs make him a formidable force in the secondary. With 6 INTs last season, his fantastic anticipation, paired with his excellent hands, allows him to consistently come away with the football. His quick reaction time also enables him to step up and make crucial tackles in the open field. He is a player that demands respect and a name you need to know.

Newbill is a DB that has great hands and was one of the top players in the state for INTs. He has good vision and anticipation, reading through his keys to the QB’s eyes and coming down with the pick. He has the ability to come down and make plays near the line of scrimmage and can make open field tackles. He does show the speed to be able to take away half of the field in coverage. He will be a player to keep on the radar to see if he is able to build on last seasons success.
