is also certainly that type of receiver — small, scatty and can make plays in the open field — he’s also got tremendous ball skills. As one can see on the first play of his film on Hudl, Schnell leaps up in the air (maybe miss-timing the ball) and ultimately brings it down with one hand, despite the DB being all over him. Schnell, who caught 47 passes for 1,040 yards and 18 touchdowns last season, is a receiver that provides both skillsets for GTRA.

I watched Schnell during the Back 2 Ballin 7-on-7 tournament a few months ago and was impressed with how he contributed on both sides of the ball. He’s solidly built already with a frame capable of adding mass without costing him speed and athleticism. Schnell can get open and cause damage after the catch as a receiver. He has some quick-twitch mixed with power. Those traits serve him on defense, too, where safety best suits his skill set. Schnell also would be an asset on special teams for programs at the next level.
